Individual Equipment Sessions
Usually our rehabilitation clients (those with specific problems) are better suited to private sessions using the Pilates equipment. This allows clients to retrain the transverse abdominus/pelvic floor and other muscles in a controlled environment, under more constant supervision. Their programs are specific to their problems and we utilise our finely tuned physiotherapy training to analyse the direct neuromuscular cause of the pain.
Group Equipment Sessions
Group Equipment Sessions are for clients who have attended an initial physiotherapist assessment and ten 1:1 sessions. The Pilates equipment is very effective for rehabilitation of specific conditions and is recommended for those who experience chronic areas of pain as the physiotherapist will tailor-make each client's program. It is also appropriate for those wanting to focus on particular areas of strengthening, or for sport/dance specific programs. The specially-designed Pilates equipment includes the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Multi Chair, Ladder and Torso Barrels as well as small Props.
For effective rehabilitation results, we recommend 2-3 Group Equipment Sessions per weeks for an initial period of 3 months. More complex, longstanding problems may require an additional 3 month period. We strongly advise program reviews every 4-6 weeks to progress exercises and maintain variety.
