Equipment work is great for targeting specific areas of body that require rehabilitation or for those with explicit needs such as athletic or sport training.
Small Group Equipment classes as well as private sessions are available.
Pilates Group Equipment Classes utilise specially designed equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze Table and Ladder Barrel. Clients take turns on each piece of equipment during which they perform exercises from their own personalised program. There is a Pilates Physio on hand for assistance, however, for most of the time you will be working on your own, at your own pace, through your own equipment program.
The versatility offered by Pilates machines and the huge variety of possible exercises means that a program can be very targeted and specific. For this reason Equipment classes are suitable for clients recovering from injury or surgery and those with explicit needs such as athletic or sport training. It is also for anyone wanting to gain additional Pilates proficiency at a high level.
All New clients require a Pilates Fitness Screen and Real Time Ultrasound (RTUS). Depending on your previous experience you will need 8-10 x Pilates Equipment 1:1 to design your personalised program. Program Reviews are required every 2-3 months.
Group Equipment Classes are offered at Stirling and Parkside.
