Who We Are

Driven By Our Passion, Guided By Our Values

Movement is the essence of life. By helping our clients reach their full movement potential and encouraging a more active lifestyle, we create positive change in our community. This is our daily mission—supporting clients of all ages and abilities, without judgement.

We are dedicated to motivating, supporting, and inspiring our clients to achieve their physical health goals. In turn, this drives us to continuously learn, develop our skills, and grow—not just as practitioners, but as individuals.

At the core of everything we do is the well-being of our clients. We build genuine relationships founded on respect, integrity, and trust. We're more than just a practice—we're a community. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our Director

Rachel Combe

With a background in dance, it was no surprise that Rachel embraced Pilates upon graduating as a physiotherapist in 1997. She had early career stints in Broken Hill and the UK and upon returning home to Adelaide in 2002 taught Pilates Mat classes in church halls and school gyms all over town. She then launched Physio Pilates Proactive in 2003 in Stirling. Rachel is regarded as one of Adelaide’s most qualified and respected Pilates instructors. Passionate about Pilates and its effectiveness in rehabilitation, she also promotes Pilates as a lifestyle choice that can enhance a person’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

As a health practitioner, Rachel believes that her role in the community is best served by educating, motivating and empowering people to achieve their physical potential. In addition to being a highly engaged member of the APA, Rachel has in the past been Vice President of the APA’s SA Branch Council, a member of the New Graduate Professional Development Committee as well as SA Chairperson of the Physiotherapy Business Australia Committee, and on the University of South Australia’s Physiotherapy Education and Training Advisory Panel.

“I feel blessed to be able to work in my own business with such a wonderful bunch of like-minded people. Over the years, we have felt immense satisfaction at the difference we have been able to make to our clients’ lives through altering their mindset to movement.”
