FAQs
Pilates Mat & Fitness
The best way to start your Pilates journey is with our 14-day Intro Pass, which gives you unlimited access to as many classes as you like. This is a great opportunity to explore different classes and times to find the ones that best suit your lifestyle and goals.
If you’re planning to continue with Pilates Mat classes, we highly recommend booking 1-2 individual sessions with one of our experienced physiotherapists. During these sessions, you’ll learn the Pilates Basics and how to properly activate your abdominal muscles, ensuring you get the most from your workouts while staying safe.
Once your Intro Pass is complete, you can choose to subscribe to one of our Memberships or purchase prepaid Packs of classes through our easy-to-use app or via this link.
If you’re pregnant, have osteoporosis, chronic health conditions, or acute injuries, you will need to schedule an initial assessment with one of our physiotherapists prior to starting any classes. This will help us tailor modifications and advise on the best class options for your unique needs.
We offer over 34 Pilates Mat and Fitness Classes, with a range of day and evening times to fit into your busy schedule. Please click here to view our current timetable.
Booking and managing your classes is easy through our dedicated app or via this link. If a class is full, you can be added to the Wait List and will be notified by text up to an hour before the class if a spot becomes available.
We ask for a minimum of 12 hours’ notice if you need to cancel, otherwise, you may forfeit your payment for that class.
Exceptions may be made for immediate emergencies (e.g., medical events), at the clinic’s discretion. However, last-minute work commitments, family obligations, change of plans, or forgetfulness are not considered valid reasons for waiving the cancellation policy. Please remember that by cancelling late, you may prevent someone else from taking that spot and benefiting from the class, as many of our classes are at full capacity.
Due to changes in Government legislation some years back, our Pilates Mat and Fitness classes are not eligible for rebates, even if they are led by physiotherapists. If you’re looking to claim your classes, please consider our Rehab Sessions and Classes, which remain eligible for rebates.
Our Memberships are designed to help you maintain consistent attendance and see better results over time. With a set amount debited weekly from your bank account, you’ll enjoy the convenience of regular payments and the motivation to attend regularly.
You can choose from 2, 3, or unlimited classes per week. Memberships require a 4-week minimum attendance period, after which you can cancel anytime with 7 days’ notice. You also have the option to suspend your membership for up to 6 weeks with 7 days’ notice by calling the practice.
Alternatively, our Packs, available in multiples of 10 or 50, are ideal for those who prefer more flexibility and may need breaks from class attendance. These packs are valid for 6 months from the date of your first class.
Except for our Circuit classes, which are held in our Arcade Studio next to Reception in the Stirling Arcade, all other classes take place in our Tiers Studio, located upstairs above The Essence Cafe.
All our Pilates Mat and Fitness classes run for 50 minutes.
To ensure high-quality instruction and provide enough space for movement, our Pilates Mat and Fitness classes are capped at 12 participants.
We recommend wearing comfortable, yet relatively fitted clothing. Tops should be snug enough to avoid gaping, and if you’re wearing loose shorts, we suggest wearing bike pants underneath. Grip socks are required for all classes and can be purchased online or at Reception. There’s no need to bring any equipment or a mat – everything you need is provided.
A few reminders for class:
- Please switch off your mobile phone before entering the studio.
- You may wish to bring a small hand towel to place under your head.
- Don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Clean your mat with the wipes provided before use.
- If you’re feeling unwell, please refrain from attending class to protect others.

If you are pregnant, have osteoporosis, chronic health conditions, or acute injuries, an initial assessment with one of our physiotherapists is required before attending any classes. This will help us guide you on the necessary modifications and recommend the most appropriate classes for your needs.
Most of our classes are suitable for a wide range of people (with the exception of Pilates Plus and Circuit), as long as you are aware of the relevant modifications and inform your instructor before starting. However, you may find our Rehab Sessions and Rehab Classes to be a better starting point, and you can transition to our Fitness classes when you feel ready.
Unfortunately, children are not allowed in the Studio due to safety reasons and to respect other clients. Adolescents from 12 years old may attend Pilates Mat and Fitness classes if appropriate, but please note that an adult must attend with them if they are under 16 years of age. We also welcome 12–18-year-olds to our Teen Fit classes, which are specifically designed for their age group.
