Briar started her physiotherapy career in 2000 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she worked in the Rehabilitation and Acute Wards as well as Orthopaedics. She then gained experience treating a wide range of conditions at a Barossa Valley practice before joining PPP in 2007. In recent years, Briar has become particularly involved in the treatment of spinal conditions and headaches related to lower back and neck pain. She is also one of the only physios in Adelaide who treats TMJ conditions.
