Located 20 minutes up the freeway from Adelaide in the heart of Stirling, our Men’s Pilates Mat class is specifically designed to help men move better, feel stronger, and reduce aches and tension. Run on a Wednesday night at 7.30pm in our beautiful upstairs studio in The Stirling Tiers by highly experienced physio, Briar Strutton, Men’s Pilates is perfect if you’re training for sport, staying fit for work, or simply want to support your body as you age. It’s low-impact but highly effective—and ideal for all levels of experience.
Men’s Pilates is perfect if you:
- Are stiff in the back, hips, or shoulders
- Want to build real, functional core strength
- Have been told to improve your posture or flexibility
- Experience tightness from work or sport (like running, cycling, or weights)
- Prefer a class that’s straightforward, targeted, and results-focused
- Want a supportive space to exercise without pressure or judgement

Our Men’s Pilates class has been led by physio, Briar Strutton for many years so she understands men’s movement patterns, injuries, and goals. A wonderful, supportive community has developed over time and every new participant is always warmly welcomed to the group.
Expect:
- Floor-based strength and mobility training
- A strong focus on core, glutes, posture and spinal health
- Exercises that improve flexibility without “stretching” for the sake of it
- Use of bands, balls and weights for targeted muscle activation
- Real-time feedback and simple, effective cues from the physio

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced—just ready to learn and move.
What if I can’t make the Men’s Pilates class on Wednesday night?
Men are welcome in all our classes! The Men’s Pilates class is just a little more targeted to men’s bodies, but all classes will give the same benefits of Pilates.
What if I’m already active or play sport?
Perfect. Pilates is an excellent cross-training tool that improves performance and prevents injury.
What if I’ve had an injury before?
That’s our specialty. We strongly recommend booking in to see one of our physios to discuss any modifications you might require, and to learn the basics of Pilates technique.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just comfortable clothes and a willingness to move. We provide all mats and props.
