Pilates Equipment work effectively targets specific areas of the body to optimise your rehabilitation and improve your physical performance
These sessions use specially designed equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze Table and Ladder Barrel. Clients take turns on each piece of equipment during which they perform exercises from their own personalised program. There is a Pilates Physio on hand for assistance, and for most of the time, you will be working on your own, at your own pace, through your own equipment program.
The versatility offered by Pilates machines and the huge variety of possible exercises means that a program can be very targeted and specific. For this reason, Equipment sessions are suitable for clients recovering from injury or surgery and those with explicit needs such as athletic or sports training. It is also for anyone wanting to gain additional Pilates proficiency at a high level.
As you progress through your recovery, your treatment plan will be reassessed and updated (every 3 - 4 months) to help you maximise your rehab outcomes.
These sessions may be eligible for a private health fund rebate if you meet the criteria. Typically, 8-10 individual Physiotherapy rehab sessions are required prior to joining classes. This is to allow for the creation and instruction of your individual program.
